There’s nothing greater than experiencing a child experiencing something for the first time.
You might just find that sharing your passion becomes your new one.

Because someone was there for you, you became the person you are today.

That’s what being a foster parent is. Being there for children when they need it most. On any given day, there are more than 3,000 children in the care of the Clark County Department of Family Services. Through the support of quality foster parents, more than 50 percent of children are reunited with their families.

No one fosters alone.

The Department of Family Services and many other organizations support foster parents in caring for the children placed in their homes. Foster parents are given a stipend and each child is covered by medical and dental insurance. The department provides ongoing training, guidance and resources to provide foster parents with answers to questions and tools to deal with challenging situations.
